It can be controlled by a hydraulic power & control unit PLC or alternatively by using an autonomous PLC. The target flow values are monitored and adjusted in realtime in response to current process conditions, including transients like plant start-up and shutdown.
Local and remote alarms will immediately report issues, including missing or excessive flow and saturated steam conditions. This will enable pre-emptive maintenance, preventing unrecoverable damage on valve components from occurring.
